Shiner Dortmunder Style Spring Ale

This is the spring seasonal from Shiner Beers, the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas.

The beer pours a dark golden color with some copper and amber.  The aroma is fresh, tall grass, fresh grain, biscuit, with a bit of aromatic fruit and flower.  The taste is sweet grain followed immediately by an intense bitterness that is slightly fruity.  The mouth feel is crisp and intensely carbonated to the point of a burning sensation.  This is both tasty and refreshing, I really enjoy it.  "There's nothing finer than a Springtime Shiner!"
