Josephs Brau beers are brewed in San Jose, California and are a Trader Joe's store brand.

Summer Brew Kolsch-Style Beer - This 4.8% ABV beer pours honey golden in color.  The aroma is slightly sweet with honey and fresh red apple mostly, with a whiff of sourness coming in here and there.  It is intensely and finely carbonated, and drinks sweet, bready malt, with a crisp, dry and slightly bitter finish.

Plznr Czech-Style Lager - So how does a beer spelled phonetically with no vowels taste?  This 5.4% ABV beer pours a very dark yellow golden, almost a hint of orange in the color.  There is a quarter inch of pure white foam.  The aroma is malty grain, slightly sweet, with a floral and grassy bitterness.  The taste is full of grain with a grassy bitterness.  It lacks that certain something that Czech pilsners have, but it is pretty good tasting for an American pilsner.
