Notes on My Tasting Notes

I will be posting my thoughts on various beers as I try them.  Everyone has their own taste, so my notes are my own and I don't claim them to be anything but subjective.  However, one thing I will always try to do is to rate a beer based on its category.  My pet peeve is beer ratings posted on websites where they will give a beer like Hamm's or Colt 45 an "F" because they don't taste like a Belgian Dubbel or a craft IPA.  I think a beer should be rated compared to its own category.  Of course Hamm's doesn't taste like Trappistes Rochefort 8 or Russian River Pliny the Elder, but it is good for an American macro.  So that is my qualifier.
