Samuel Adams Hefeweizen

The Samuel Adams line of beers are from the Boston Brewing Company of Boston, Massachusetts. This 5.4% German-style wheat ale is part of their summer seasonal mixed 12 pack.

The beer pours a lightly hazed dark golden. There is a tall, fizzing head of white foam. The aroma is true to the style, cloves and banana, with just a touch of fruity tartness. The taste is banana bread and cloves, a nice hefe flavor. There is very mild bitterness. The beer drinks with a medium body and crisp, refreshing carbonation. This beer is the bright spot in what is otherwise an overall disappointing sampler pack.
