Bell's Larry's Latest Sour Ale

Bell's Brewery is in Comstock, Michigan. This is a 5.0% ABV kettle soured ale that is then dry-hopped.

The beer pours a deep golden with an orange tint. There is a short head of white foam, not long lasting. The aroma is tart, a bit funky, with some tropical fruity and lightly dank hops. The taste follows the aromas, a really smart blend here of tart sour and the dankness and tropical and citrus fruits that hops can provide. The finish is dry, with moderate hoppy bitterness. The beer drinks with that light body that sourness imparts, along with tingles of carbonation. This is a good take on the sour style.
