New Belgium Heavy Melon

This 5.0% ABV watermelon lime ale is from New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado. 

The beer pours a deep golden in color. There is a half-inch of white foam, not long-lasting. The aroma is fairly mild, light watermelon sweetness over toasted grain. The taste is mild watermelon, toasted grain, with a very light hint of lime. The flavors are pleasant, and I am glad this is not overwhelming as too many of these kind of beers are, but it is actually too mild in its flavors. The finish is fairly dry with very little bitterness. The beer drinks smooth and easy with a soft tingling of carbonation.
