Finch's Fascist Pig Ale

Finch's Beer Company is in Chicago, Illinois. This is a 8.0% ABV red ale with 72 IBU's and dry-hopped with Palisade and Zythos hops. Hey, isn't that Wilbur on the can wearing a Hawaiian shirt and Nazi/Soviet type officer's hat? He's lost without Charlotte's guidance apparently.

The beer pours a deep reddish amber in color. There is a relatively short head of somewhat creamy light tan foam. The aroma is fruity, cherries, berries, tangy, over caramel malt, a touch floral and grassy. The taste follows the aromas, herbal, with a very grassy, floral, herbal bitterness on the end. This is quite intensely bitter, it overwhelms most of the flavors. The mouthfeel is smooth, a bit creamy, with a subtle carbonation. This one isn’t working for me.
