Labatt Blue

This lager from the Labatt Brewing Company (or you can press here for "fun" journey of several redirections) of Toronto, Canada is not only imported from Canada, according to the bottle, it is imported daily. So take that any import beer that isn't imported daily. I drank a good amount of this beer in college.  Does anyone here remember Arctic Bay? It was a Canadian beer we used to drink in Massachusetts in the early 1990's. It was a lot like Labatt, but cheaper and the bottom of the bottle was shaped like a bottle cap and could be used to twist off the next cap.

The beer pours a clear and pale golden yellow in color. There is an inch of white foamy head, relatively longer lasting for they adjunct lager style. The aroma is golden malt, corn, very light cooked vegetables and apple. The taste follows the aroma with a whisper of a hint of hops on the end, as tart as they are grassy or bitter (bitter being quite relative here). It is well carbonated, and does have a smooth grain note. Quite similar to Miller High Life. Keep it cold and chug it.
