Reutberger Export Hell

This is a 5.1% ABV hell or helles lager (meaning "pale" in German). It is from the Klosterbrauerei Reutberg of Germany (also see HERE), since 1677 (for "kloster" think monastery).

The beer pours golden yellow in color. There is a tall, thick, foamy white head. The aroma is slightly sweet golden grain, grassy, light fruit note, a touch of straw. The taste follows the aromas, some sweet, some grassy, some bitter, some tangy. The finish is dry and lightly bitter with an herbal note. It has a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel with a tingling carbonation.
