Cambridge Brewing Company The Audacity of Hops

This is a 8.0% ABV Belgian style double India Pale Ale. It uses five varieties of hops and Belgian yeast. The Cambridge Brewing Company is in Kendall Square, in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has been brewing since 1989. This bottled offering is contract brewed by the Mercury Brewing Company of Ipswich, Massachusetts.

The beer pours orange and copper in color, with just a touch of haze. There is a tall, thick, foamy, fizzy head that is off-white in color. The aroma is hoppy and funky, lots of flowers, musky, and overripe fruits. The taste follows the aromas directly, fruity, sweet, tangy, floral, funky, musky, tropical. The finish is fairly bitter and dry.
