Alaskan Freeride APA

This 5.3% ABV American Pale Ale is from the Alaskan Brewing Company of Juneau, Alaska. It has 40 IBU's and uses Citra, Cascade and Centennial hops.

The beer pours amber and copper in color with just a touch of haze. There is an inch tall head of thick off-white foam. The aroma is fruity and lightly floral, with lots of orange. The taste is solid toasted malt, orange, tea with lemon. There is a moderate bitterness on the finish, which is fairly dry. There is a light smoothness to the mouthfeel, but also ample carbonation. Overall, a very solid pale ale that is a pleasure to drink.
