Paulaner Hefe-Weizen

This 5.5% ABV wheat beer is from the Paulaner Brewery of Munich, Germany, brewing since 1634.

The beer pours cloudy and orange amber. It is effervescently carbonated and has a large, thick, billowing head of egg white foam. The aroma is fruity, yeast, banana and clove, floral and sweet. The taste follows the aromas, giving a kind of banana bread flavor with a tart yeastiness. The big carbonation tingles the tongue. Classic German Hefe here.
