Blue Moon Rounder

The Blue Moon Brewing Company is a Molson-Coors brand, based out of Golden, Colorado. This 5.6% ABV Belgian-style pale ale is part of their Expressionist Collection which they describe as "intriguing interpretations of classic styles." It uses orange peel and hibiscus. From their website: For the Expressionist Collection, we found our inspiration in the rich heritage of classic beer styles, but, of course, we added our own twists along the way. Whether it’s an interesting ingredient or an uncommon blend, these beers are intended to spark your curiosity as we explore the endless possibilities of great Craft beer.

The beer pours copper and amber in color. There is a half-inch of very light brown head, a touch of creaminess to it. The aroma is tangy, malty, caramel, the fruit and floral giving an almost vinous note. The taste is mostly malty, caramel, roasted and a bit nutty. The orange and hibiscus are very subdued. It is moderately carbonated and has a pleasing smooth mouthfeel. No one will lose their mind on this, but it is pretty solid.
