Safe Harbor American Blonde Ale

Safe Harbor is brewed by the Cottrell Brewing Company of Pawtucket, Connecticut, for the Great New London Brewing Company of New London, Connecticut. It has a blonde in a sailor outfit on it. Incredibly original, I hope the beer is good.

The beer pours a hazy golden yellow with champagne-like carbonation. There is a tall, thick head of egg white foam. The aroma is grassy, hoppy, floral, fruity, bitter over golden grain. The taste follows the aromas directly, ending with a grassy and bitter finish, dry and with a yeasty tang. There is a nice crisp mouthfeel. The bottle might scream gimmick, but the beer screams a tasty and refreshing American take on a kolsch-style ale. I would drink this anytime.
