Fire Island Beer Company Red Wagon IPA

The Fire Island Beer Company has its beers brewed in Saratoga Springs, New York (probably contract brewed by the Olde Saratoga Brewing Company). The beer pours copper in color with ample carbonation. There is a short and thin head of off-white foam.  The aroma is orange fruit over malt, along with an herbal hoppy note. The flavor is orange, with subdued pine sap, sun tea with lemon, over caramel malt. The finish is moderately to strongly bitter, with a grapefruit astringency. It has a tingling carbonation. Quite drinkable, but not a hophead's dream of an IPA.
