Samuel Adams Irish Red

This 5.8% ABV beer is from Samuel Adams of the Boston Beer Company of Boston, Massachusetts.

The beer pours ruby and chestnut brown in color, dark, but still clear. There is a half-inch of light brown creamy foam. The aroma is malty, caramel, a bit nutty.  The taste is a deep toasted malt, a bit nutty, caramel, with a dry finish that is just bitter enough to bring all the malt flavor to a crisp finish. It has quite a tingling carbonation. The aftertaste is caramel, nutty and bitter.
