Mahr's Brau Pilsner

This 5.0% pilsner is from  Mahr's Brau of Bamberg, Germany (the website just links to their Facebook page). The beer pours a pale golden yellow with about an inch of pure white foam. The aroma is grassy, a bit floral, over dry golden grain. The taste is dry golden grain, like fall corn in a metal bucket, along with a grassy bitterness. There is a touch of sweetness, but it is quickly subsumed in the pleasant bitterness. It is a bit light in the mouth, even for the style. A good and refreshing pilsner, it could use more straw and clean barn in it.
