Tenacious Traveler Shandy

Shandy is a mix of lemonade and lager. It has been an increasingly popular style this year, with many offerings being released. This one is from the House of Shandy Beer Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. I wonder if this is a City Brewing product, as they have a brewery in Cincinnati. Their logo is a mustache, and they hand out fake ones at beer fests. This one is 4.4% ABV and uses Hallertau and Mittelfrau hops. It also adds ginger and clover honey.

The beer pours a cloudy and muted dark honey golden in color. There is an inch of dirty white head that lingers for a bit. The aroma is lemony, toasted malt, snappy ginger, and sweet, floral honey. The taste follows the aromas directly. The mouthfeel has a slight creaminess to it. This is like the Curious Traveler, but the ginger adds a snap and the honey adds a sweet creaminess. This is like a liquid lemon pastry.
