Fish Tale Organic Amber Ale

Fish Tale beers are from the Fish Brewing Company of Olympia, Washington. This beer is 5.5% ABV and is certified organic. The beer pours a deep amber in color with about an inch of off-white to light brown head. The head is somewhat creamy. The aroma is malty, a touch sweet and sweet potato, with notes of caramel, light molasses and vanilla. The taste is also malt forward, following the aromas. There is a fruity tang behind the malt, and enough hop bitterness to prevent the beer from being too sweet. Instead, it ends with a mildly bitter and lightly dry finish. This is a nice amber ale.
