Sierra Nevada Beer Camp #65 Imperial Red

The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is from Chico, California. This 8.1% ABV beer is part of their annual Best of Beer Camp series. Apparently people can submit videos and be chosen to attend beer camp, where the attendees learn about beer and choose the styles for that year's beer camp releases.

The beer pours a medium dark brown and red in color.   There is a tall head of thick and creamy foam, off-white in color.  The aroma is malty, well roasted, caramel, fruity, orange, pine, a touch spicy.  The flavor is malty, roasted, caramel, a touch of nut, a hint of tobacco, tea, some orange and pine, and a massively bitter and dry finish.  Nice, solid, but won’t blow your socks off.
