Drake's Aroma Coma IPA

Drake's Brewing Company is in San Leandro, California. This 6.75% ABV India Pale Ale is a summer seasonal. I'm getting to it a bit late, hopefully it still holds up. It has Cascade, Chinook, CTZ, and Citra hops.

The beer pours orange and honey golden in color. There is a tall head that is thick, foamy, and off-white in color. The aroma is tangy, zesty, tropical, with a hint of pine. The taste follows the aromas, lots of tropical and citrus, held down by a good toasted malt base with a hint of caramel. It is moderately to heavily bitter (80 IBU's) and dry in a grapefruit rind, tonic water, kind of way. I would love to drink a bottle of this the day it is released.
