Sprecher Hooligan English Style Pale Ale

The Sprecher Brewing Company is in Glendale, Wisconsin.  This beer is 4.9% ABV and is a new addition to their Session Series of beers.  It uses whole cone hops, and features what looks like a hooligan-like rugby player on the bottle.

The beer pours a light and pale brown in color, with a tinge of orange.  There is a thick, creamy, foamy head, white to off-white in color.  The aroma is lightly malty and fruity, caramel and plums.  The taste is toasted malt, caramel, sun tea with light lemon, and a very light cherry with a dry, woody, and bitter finish.  This is an interesting Americanized take on an English-style pale ale.
