Finnegans Blonde Ale

Finnegans beers are a charitable venture, 100% of whose profits go to feeding the hungry through local charities.  Their beers are brewed and bottled for them by Summit Brewing of St. Paul, Minnesota.  "Here's to Doing Good"

Since the beer does such good, the bottle says the Blonde Ale is a Hellfire Extinguisher.  It is 4.6% ABV and pours a pure yellow golden in color, perhaps just a bit of haze.  There is a tall head of white, slightly creamy foam that leaves light, but sticky, lacing down the glass.  The aroma is golden grain, citrusy, lemon, like lightly toasted light wheat bread with lemon curd, along with straw, grass and a pleasant traditional lager sulfur note.  The taste follows the aromas directly and has enough hops for a dry and moderately bitter finish.  It is nicely carbonated and a bit smooth.  This is a really tasty, nice and easy drinking beer, one of the best American blonde ales you'll find.  It tastes good to do good with this one!
