Batemans Combined Harvest

Batemans brewery is in Wainfleet, Lincs, United Kingdom.  This 4.7% ABV beer is described as a bronze pale ale brewed with pale and crystal malts (barley), combined with malted wheat, oats and rye and hopped with Phoenix and Target varieties.  It is vegan friendly and a gold medal winner at the International Beer Awards.

The beer pours a bronze, copper, amber in color.  There is a short head of off-white foam.  The aroma is predominantly malty, some sweet potato, a bit of spice.  The taste is richly malty, sweet potato, honey, some rye, a light touch of jammy fruit, herbal and floral and a bit of toasted, nutty malt as well. It drinks rich, smooth and creamy and is filled with complex malt flavors.  Very nice.
