Fulton Beer Sweet Child of Vine IPA

The Fulton Beer Company is in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but the bottles at least are contract brewed by Stevens Point Brewery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

This 6.4% ABV India Pale Ale pours a deep dark orange-copper-brown in color, almost getting a hint of ruby.  There is a tall quarter-inch of thick and creamy foam that is off-white to very light brown in color.  The aroma is  fruity and floral, jams and marmalade, over a malty base with a touch of caramel.  The taste follows the aromas, the malt is toasted and nutty, with a dark caramel note, some thick and jammy fruit, with a bitter floral finish.  If you are looking for a West coast style hop bomb, this is not it, but it is tasty and drinkable.
