Wild Cat Malt Liquor

$1.59 for a 40 oz. wide mouth bottle at a liquor store near the ped mall in Iowa City.  This is from Melanie Brewing, i.e. City Brewery by my understanding.  For what it is, it actually starts out with a pretty good taste of malt and grain. Not too sweet or heavy like many cheap malt liqours.  No overwhelming alcohol either. Well-balanced, and initially thinking that for the price, this is excellent. However, as the bottle proceeds, a background flavor of green apple begins to overwhelm and predominate and is not very pleasing. Solution? Share this with three friends and pour only 10 oz. each!
